Comesa banks on integration to spur growth

Taking stock of progress on Comesa council decisions of June 2009, Mr Ngwenya said customs experts were reviewing the existing tariff taking into account comments from member states.
He asked member countries that had not submitted their list of sensitive products that would be accorded differentiated treatment within the structure of the common external tariff (CET) to do so.
